Introducing the topic for the 2012 AIA|LA Design Conference:

DESIGN PERFORMANCE

To remain competitive, today's architect must do two things extremely well: add financial value to the built environment and enhance lifestyles.

For 2012, AIA|LA has programmed its annual Design Conference to emphasize the inherent connection between the core tenets of design, prosperity and health. A strong economy relies on a vibrant environment and a desirable place must be lucrative in order to sustain its cultural impact.

Healthy economies and vibrant environments are designed not by accident, but by careful consideration for the exact details that will simultaneously add value to a business's bottom-line and enrich entire communities by creating a stronger sense of place and well-being.

The 2012 AIA|LA Design Conference will serve as a forum to showcase how DESIGN PERFORMANCE increases one's return on investment, maximizes profits, enhances productivity, and at the same time, vastly improves the quality of life for all involved.
