The City of Los Angeles - Department of City Planning is in the process of embarking on one of its biggest initiatives to date: a comprehensive revision to the City's Zoning Code. As part of their efforts to build awareness and support, staff has prepared a presentation highlighting the need for a new Code, and some early concepts for discussion purposes.

Please join the AIA|LA Urban Design Committee in a healthy discussion about how we can all work together to transform Los Angeles into a healthier and more vibrant city by modernizing our antiquated zoning code.

As you may recall, in 2011 as part of our annual AIA|LA Legislative Day at City Hall, we called on our Councilmembers to INVEST IN UPDATED ZONING CODE. Now is the time to provide the support to help push this agenda forward.
