AIA LA City Leaders Breakfast Reception w/ Kurt Yoshii, PE, GE – President, ACEC California & Principal Engineer, Ninyo & Moore

We are delighted to announce that the AIA LA City Leaders Breakfast Series will resume as a virtual “bring-your-own-coffee & breakfast” event.  For 2021, we’re aiming for 25+ receptions to showcase the numerous membership-based organizations that provide professional leadership in the A/E/C industry.

Our sixth in this series will feature the President of American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) California.

We are organizing these receptions as opportunities for the architecture & design community to hear from the leadership of numerous A/E/C organizations and the specific initiatives each organization is helping to advance.

Kurt Yoshii, PE, GE – President, ACEC California & Principal Engineer, Ninyo & Moore

Mr. Yoshii joined Ninyo & Moore in 1995 and has been involved in design and construction projects for both public and private agencies since that time. As a Principal Engineer for Ninyo & Moore, Mr. Yoshii oversees the soils and materials laboratory testing services as well as performs geotechnical investigations, including planning, field exploration, laboratory testing, geotechnical analysis and report preparation. Mr. Yoshii reviews project plans and specifications, concrete and asphalt mix designs, and provides project management and oversight for inspection and testing services, including review of field and laboratory test results and conformance to the approved project plans and specifications. He also provides supervision and technical support to project and staff engineers, geologists, field and laboratory technicians and inspectors, and performs project administration and management including cost and schedule controls.

Mr. Yoshii is an effective communicator. His strengths lie in establishing and maintaining open communication lines with his clients and effectively overseeing coordinating our in-house resources to deliver high quality and prompt services to our clients. Mr. Yoshii also provides expert witness/third party testimony for claims and litigation projects and has utilized the lessons learned from these cases to better serve Ninyo & Moore’s clients.
