The Hilda L. Solis Care First Village was constructed during the pandemic to provide interim housing to the City’s most vulnerable residents. Construction began in October 2020, and the first residents moved into their units in April 2021. The facility provides 132 beds, wrap-around services, and amenities. The project is a mix of 132 units constructed from repurposed shipping containers and 100 units in temporary portable trailers. The modular Administration building houses support services and a full commercial kitchen.
