The 2019 AIA|LA City Leaders Breakfast Series serves as an opportunity for architects & designers and other community stakeholders to meet directly with key individuals transforming Los Angeles in a roundtable setting to discuss innovative ideas that will ensure a healthy, sustainable and economically competitive future.

Samantha L. Millman – President, Los Angeles City Planning Commission

Samantha L. Millman is Vice President at Millco Investments, a privately held real estate investment firm in Los Angeles. An asset manager with broad real estate experience, Samantha manages a portfolio of commercial and industrial real estate holdings in Southern California and works with a diverse roster of tenants.

Samantha is President of the Los Angeles City Planning Commission. Prior to serving on the City Planning Commission, she was President of the Central Area Planning Commission for the City of Los Angeles from 2013 to 2015.

Samantha sits on the Board of Directors of Bet Tzedek Legal Services, a non-profit poverty law center in Los Angeles that provides free legal services, on a completely non-sectarian basis, to more than 15,000 low-income Angelenos each year.

During the 2012 Presidential Election, Samantha was a National Co-Chair of Generation Forty-Four (Gen44), the under-40 fundraising program of Obama for America, created to cultivate and empower a rising generation of leaders for the Democratic Party. In that capacity, Samantha also sat on the Obama campaign’s National Finance Committee.

A lifelong Californian, Samantha was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended the University of California, Berkeley. She currently resides in the Cahuenga Pass neighborhood of Los Angeles.
