NEXII panel system consists of Type II EPS insulation core, sandwiched between an exterior and interior face of NEXIITE, the proprietary material. Together, these materials produce a covalent bond that eliminates the need for adhesives. Corner blocks for lifting and fasting the components together, and structural frameworks, are made of steel depending on specific application.
The buildings in which we work and live are the single largest emitter of CO2 emissions in the world, contributing over 37% of all emissions. The true culprit is the production of portland cement, the primary ingredient in traditional concrete. NEXII provides an all natural alternative to traditional concrete through its proprietary and sustainable construction material, that is a polymer concrete, yet uses no portland cement. In compression testing, NEXII is as durable and strong as concrete, yet is about 1/5 of the weight of traditional concrete, and thus reduces the need for additional steel, further addressing the carbon issue. Use of our panel system creates a superior R Value, with NEXII’s standard 10” panel achieving an R-34.
Off-site production is done in large casting beds ( similar to pre-cast manufacturing ), NEXII is able to produce panels that are 50×12, and come with windows, doors, and electra all prebuilt in the factory. Further, because the NEXIITE, forms a covalent bond to its insulating core ( EPS ), NEXII is also able to create the exterior facing options at the factory, such as brick, stucco, slate, granite, etc. This further cuts down on on site construction by about 75%. The panels are flat packed on a semi truck, delivered to job site, and craned into place very easily, with very little, to no job site waste. For context, NEXII completed a Starbucks build in (6) days, with no job site waste, whereas exterior envelope construction typically took Starbucks 2-3 months.
The substantial disaster resiliency that NEXIITE brings, as its properties make it incredibly fire, flood and earthquake resilient. With over 200 3rd party tests performed by the country’s most respected firms ( U-Cal Berkely for Seismic, Intertek for fire ), NEXII offers a significant advantage over traditional construction methods, and materials, in an ever growing world of various disasters that affect structures. We are a trusted source of building materials for many CRU ( Commercial Retail Units ). Some of our clients include Starbucks, McDonalds, Chase Bank, Chipotle, Prologis and high performance cladding panels, which was recently done for a 9-story Marriott.

Brendan McDonald
Strategic Partnerships & Development, NEXII
Brendan has served as a trusted Advisor and Executive to numerous C-Suite professionals, Social Impact Clients, Entrepreneurs, and Partners for nearly two decades, with his unique blend of experience working throughout the entertainment, and early stage venture ecosystem, developing go to market strategies to launch, and drive the acceleration of both early stage and established companies to scale.
Brendan served as an early Advisor to the CEO, and is currently the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Development for NEXII, a venture aimed at reducing CO2 emissions, and creating more sustainable buildings through a proprietary technology. In this role, Brendan’s inter-department work has accelerated company growth to become Canada’s fastest growing Unicorn, valued at $2B in 2022. He sourced, and generated NEXII’s first institutional investor, a $14M investment in 2019, established the firm’s first US-based manufacturing facility, leading to over 100 ‘green manufacturing’ jobs, and drove identification and negotiation to align with actor, and environmentalist, Michael Keaton, which continues to drive brand awareness and adoption. In addition, Brendan’s leading the firm’s new customer acquisition efforts to secure multi-year partnerships with marquee and socially conscious brands, such as Walmart, Lowe’s, among others.
