Bill Schmalz, FAIA, CSI, LEED AP, Technical Principal of Perkins+Will, leads this seminar on Construction & Evaluation (CE).
CE focuses on construction contract administration and post-occupancy evaluation of projects. The exam content may include construction contract execution, construction support services (including construction observation and shop drawing or submittal review), payment request processing, and project closeout, as well as project evaluation of integrated building systems and their performance.

ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR:
Bill Schmalz, FAIA, CSI, LEED AP – Technical Director & Principal, Perkins+Will
Bill Schmalz is the Technical Principal of the Los Angeles office of Perkins+Will. His expertise is in project delivery, contract documentation, contract administration, and construction cost management. As a co-chair of the firm’s Excellence in Execution initiative, Bill is a leader in the development of firm-wide technical standards and project delivery processes. He is director of Perkins+Will’s Building Technology Laboratory (Tech Lab), and a technical advisor to AREA Research. He chaired the national Construction Contract Administration AIA Knowledge Community in 2011, and has been on its Advisory Group since 2010. His white papers are posted on the AIA CCA KC website, and he is a contributing author for the upcoming 15th edition of the Architects Handbook of Professional Practice. He is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, and is licensed in California and Illinois.
