Kids Draw Architecture Day
October 20, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT
FreeFor K-6 Kids : Kids Draw, An AIA|LA + A+D Museum Free Event
**SPACE IS LIMITED: 25 students, ages 6-11**
The American Institute of Architects Los Angeles along with A+D Museum is hosting a series of events for kids ages 4-11 to learn about architecture.
Students will be divided into small groups led by an architect who will guide an exercise on the significance of sketching. Drawing, and art in general, affects how the brain thinks— and sees the world. Sketching allows one to focus and see things previously unnoticed in the built environment. The result is a better appreciation of the various aspects of architecture – functionality, artistry, and design’s importance.
AIA|LA and the A+D Museum are delighted to invite everyone to bring their creativity and curiosity and come sketch with the architects!

About Kids Draw Architecture: Kids Draw Architecture is an educational program created in 1988 by the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara. It is a way to connect architects with children and their parents, and for children to acquire an appreciation for architecture and the built environment.
