February 20 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am PST
Free – $10.00Next Gen Facades CEU
Today’s commercial and mixed-use buildings demand innovation and creativity. They are bigger and taller than ever before, need to accommodate an ever-growing list of amenities, and in cities, they need to fit where space is at a premium.Architects must be creative in meeting these needs, but they also have the unique responsibility of working with building owners to add pieces of functional art to the skyline – buildings to be proud of, that complement their surroundings yet stand out on their own.
Enter facade design. This entry-level course seeks to educate architects on the future of facade design — how to put the next big trends into practice by taking products typically designed to protect a building from sun, wind, and rain, and use them to enhance design and create visual interest.
