AN AIA|LA CONFERENCE FOR HOUSING 2019
Catalyzed by the homelessness crisis in the Los Angeles region, the AIA|LA Design for Dignity Conference serves as a forum for the architectural community to coalesce around, initiate, and fulfill strategies that reduce homelessness and increase housing affordability.
Design for Dignity will do a deep dive into ten solutions challenged by regulatory requirements, CEQA challenges, parking rules, and community reaction.
Breakout groups will explore and resolve roadblocks, develop strategies for success, and create pathways that expand and extend project implementation.
This all-day workshop will also provide a briefing session on existing funding sources for affordable, supportive, and bridge housing.
Design for Dignity is presented by Egan | Simon Architecture.
