Chair

Hansol Park, AIA, LEED AP
Vice President, Yazdani Studio of CannonDesign

Hansol brings over two decades of experience in design, leading projects from inception through completion.  His design accomplishment runs the gamut in a broad breadth of typologies from institutional to commercial and cultural to healthcare.  He delivers each project with a delicate mix of design sensibility and technical prowess.  He enjoys solving complex design challenges through rigorous exploration and persistence.  As a licensed architect at Yazdani Studio of CannonDesign, he is committed to design excellence through collaboration with all team members.

At home, Hansol loves spending the time outside, whether with his newly adapted rescue dog, Bora, or two Sulcata tortoises, Morning and Tank in the backyard, or attending his backyard beehive, or running around the Rose Bowl.

Co-Vice Chair

Mila Sergeeva, Assoc. AIA

Mila holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, which she completed in 2012. During her educational journey, she took the bold step of founding a company specializing in Environmental Graphics and Interiors, an endeavor that not only honed her design skills but also allowed her to cultivate a robust professional network from the outset of her career.

In 2015, Mila embraced new opportunities in the United States, joining KPD Planning and Design to work on innovative residential projects. She furthered her education by earning her Master of Architecture (M.Arch) from the University of Southern California in 2021.

Mila Sergeeva joined HLW as a designer in 2021 and is pursuing certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Her professional work is fueled by a passion for innovation, interconnection, and integrity. She strongly believes that innovative design leads to impactful and efficient solutions, underscoring the vital relationship between urban architecture and ecological sustainability in her projects.

As a proud USC alumna, Mila has spent the past four years mentoring the next generation of architects, passionately sharing her knowledge and experience. She actively champions sustainability initiatives, having been appointed as the chair of the USGBC California Green Schools Committee for 2024, while also leading transformative Campus Greening efforts this year.

 Furthermore, Mila’s commitment to impactful urban development is reflected in her membership in the ULI LA Urban Marketplace Committee, the ULI LA NEXT group, and the Leadership Council. Her vision and dedication create a strong foundation for a sustainable architectural future.

 


Co-Vice Chair

Graham Bremner, Assoc. AIA

Graham is a designer who recently transitioned from a successful career in motion picture production to the field of architecture.  With a fifteen-year career in the entertainment industry, primarily in the set lighting department, Graham led crews on notable productions such as HBO’s Silicon Valley, and played a key role on the Lighting Control teams for films like Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, Ryan Murphy’s The Prom, and Jordan Peele’s US.

Graham recently received a Master of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University Pomona in 2024, where he was honored with the AIA Medal for Academic Excellence. During his time at Cal Poly Pomona, he served as the publicist and then the Co-President of the Graduate Student Association (GSA) within the College of Environmental Design.  As part of a collective effort, the GSA fostered community among graduate students navigating a return to in-person education following the pandemic, providing opportunities for resources and socialization.

In his free time, Graham can be found searching for inspiration on dirt trails, in the ocean or snow-covered mountains often accompanied by his wife and two young children.

Alyce Wallace, Assoc. AIA
Lutron

Alyce is a California native, passionate about lighting technology, architecture, and design. She enjoys networking to expand her professional community and foster lasting relationships. In her current role as an Account Manager for Lutron, she calls on the A&D community in Los Angeles to support architects and designers to realize their vision for beautiful light, intelligent controls and powerful shades. She is dedicated to human-centric and sustainable design solutions. Prior to joining Lutron in 2019, Alyce was a West Coast Regional Sales Manager for over 10-years supporting specifiers with the selection of finely crafted hardwood flooring. She also had her own Interior Design business working on both commercial and residential projects. Alyce holds a Master of Interior Architecture from California State Polytechnic Pomona and is a Certified Interior Designer.
