The mission of this committee is to use discussions of interior building spaces as a starting point for exploration of creativity, design process, cross-discipline collaboration, and ways to connect people to their environment while strengthening the community of designers, constructors, and vendors.

Hayden Tract Tour
Architects will guide us through “a tower which is not quite a regular box, nor a clear, spatial departure from the regular box”, a building “formed by the intersection of nine rectangular boxes, lifted one level above the garage roof, stacked either on top of, or adjacent to each other”, the interior of an architectural office and a “neighborhood of graduate art studios.”

MIXER and SCREENING: Aalto
Presented in conjunction with Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890–1980, exhibit at LACMA, this captivating documentary focuses on Finnish architect Alvar Aalto’s remarkable career and collaborative partnership with his wives, architect Aino Aalto and Elissa Mäkiniemi.
